Sheet Metal Worker Turned Business Owner
When Fatima was on the job hunt, her goal was simple: she wanted a job that would treat her fairly, pay a fair wage, and recognize her skills. After passing her sheet metal exam in 2018, she began working as a Mechanical Contractor for the state of Ohio. Today, she owns and runs her own sheet metal business.
For her, joining Local 33 was about more than just finding a job. It was about pursuing a meaningful career, supporting her family, and setting herself up for future success. She feels a strong sense of pride and accomplishment doing work she can be proud of that makes a difference in her community.
